Ashley began her training and love of dance at Legacy Dance Studio and graduated with honors from St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in Minnesota. She graduated magna cum laude from Point Park University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a concentration in Jazz. While attending Point Park, Ashley had the privilege of training and performing a variety of works by Martha Graham, Kiesha Lalama, Ron Tassone, Garfield Lemonius, and Sidra Bell.
Currently, Ashley is going into her fifth season as a main company member for Giordano Dance Chicago following one season as a GII and one season as a Performing Associate. During her time with GDC she has performed and taught regionally, nationally and internationally, getting to share her love and passion of dance all over the world. Through Ashley’s time in GDC she has had the honor of performing works by a variety of world renowned choreographers such as Ray Leeper, Ray Mercer, Roni Koresh, Peter Chu, Liz Imperil, and Gus Giordano to name a few.
In addition to performing, she has also demonstrated an immense passion for teaching. Ashley has had the privilege of being a part of GDC's Jazz Dance/Science and Health outreach program the past three years, teaching and bringing the joy of dance and health to under-resourced Chicago Public Schools. Recently, she became certified in the Basic Level of NGCPⓇ for the Giordano Technique. Currently, Ashley is a Company teacher at All About Dance and has been teaching at AAD since 2013. Ashley is so excited and honored to be a part of this amazing AAD family and can’t wait to spread her love and knowledge of dance to all she can!
