Imani Williams

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia Imani started dancing his junior year in high school, developing a passion for dance he began training at Sugarloaf Performing Arts. After graduation, Imani moved to New York to train on a full scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School in a Jazz and Contemporary program directed by Michael Blake. While in the program he trained intensely in a variety of techniques, and had the honor of dancing in works by Bradley Shelver, Matthew Powell, Jennifer Archibald, Kevin Wyn, and Nathan Trice. He has worked with former prima ballerina Margo Sappington, Tony Award-winner Chet Walker, and choreographer of the musical Rent, Marlies Yerby. Imani danced throughout New York for two years performing works by Sekou McMiller, Lane Gifford, Tyler Gilstrap, and Emily Bufferd. He has been featured on Joffrey Ballet School advertisements and promotional materials shot by Lois Greenfield, and selected to showcase his original choreography at the Alvin Ailey Performance Space. After spending one season dancing with Giordano || Imani will now be joining the cast of “Beauty And The Beast” which will be premiering at The Drury Lane Theater this upcoming fall. Imani is beyond excited to be teaching at All About Dance this year!
