AAD Kids Company Director
Jennifer Kopka graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Elementary Education (Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence), a minor in English/Language Arts, and a certificate in Dance. She is also a certified Acrobatic Dance instructor through Acrobatic Arts. Continuing her education is very important to her and she continues to dance, train, and grow through various certifications and classes. At age 15, Jennifer began her teaching career at the Buffalo Grove Summer Dance Intensive where she quickly realized her passion for choreographing. She went on to become the Site Director for the intensive where she further developed her leadership and teaching skills.
During her time at UW, Jennifer taught and choreographed consistently for Studio One Dance School's competitive program under the direction of Joan Lundey. Jennifer credits her time at SODS and the opportunities it provided her at a young age for her biggest growth as a teacher and choreographer as well as for strongly influencing her future career path. Jennifer's choreography has achieved several choreography awards and FDC People's Choice awards
Her students have won many top overall scores, technique awards, scholarships, and several have gone on to attend prestigious dance schools such as Chapman University, Marymount Manhattan, and Indiana University. Currently, Jennifer is the Company Director at AAD. She feels so fortunate to make a life doing something she is so passionate about. As a teacher and mentor, Jennifer hopes to always inspire her students to achieve their full potential as people and artists!
